The Firewall is an interactive boulder wall with glowing and touch-sensitive climbing holds. Climbers can play interactive audio games on it that span several climb sessions. Storytelling will motivate especially children and starters to continue climbing.

The climbing wall is the playground of an audio game.
The interactive climbing holds serve as interfaces to interact with the game. In order to reach them you must climb with full physical effort.

The difficulty of the games adapts to the users. An AI is the individual trainer which challenges the users, but not overwhelms them.
This playful approach is an alternative or addition to a climbing course. It is physiologically sophisticated, conveys the basics of the climbing sport, but still is an entertaining games.

STORYTELLING
The climbers become part of an immersive story world. The story continues in future climbing sessions, similar to episodes of a serial movie. This way, we want to motivate especially climbing beginners and children to continue, of whom ~93% quickly turn away from climbing due to a lack of guidance.
We want to make it easier for them to get started and use the high potential of audiovisual media to do so.
An audio entertainer guides you through both the training and immersive story worlds. Depending on the situation, he motivates them or taunts them with humor.
The music adapts dynamically to the game situation and optimizes the climbing training.

The boulder wall is equipped by luminous and touch-sensitive climbing holds.
They serve as an interfaces to the games: the colors show which handle needs to be held next. Through their touch sensitivity, the game always knows which holds you used.

Though: the climbing holds have a higher purpose: our actual product is not the hardware, but what we do with it: interactive audio games.

It can entertain you, guide you, push you further and even make the wall shake.
The audio trainer encourages you and conveys training-relevant / worth knowing content and fun facts. The users climb through immersive story worlds with ascending game levels. The music is being created for you in real-time.
Choose whatever audio system you prefer: from headphones via precisely directional sound douches, which do not disturb other people around, to concert audio systems.
As usual in storytelling for films, we consciously use emotionally binding and narrative means and let your heart beat faster.
